As featured in My Record Journal: The City Council’s Economic Development, the Housing and Zoning Committee, and the Planning Commission recently held a meeting to discuss revitalizing downtown Meriden, CT. The city is estimated to receive $25 million in federal funds to jumpstart the economy, and investing in the downtown area is crucial to its success. Schleidt Works is now on the job and working for the Meriden Economic Development Corp. to conduct a shared workspace study as a potential component of the downtown revitalization project. This coworking space would allow various companies to share office space, equipment, and support staff. Schleidt Works will be surveying local business owners to determine whether there is a need for a shared workspace downtown.
